Campus Ministries

The Minnesota Conference’s Higher Education Ministry Team, in covenant with local churches, equips and empowers campus ministries and chaplaincies to build and cultivate Christian community.

Students attending college are highly encouraged to consider a campus ministry or chaplaincy community as the next step in their faith journey. Campus ministries are places for questioning, doubting, learning, practicing leadership, and being in mission to benefit the community and the world. Students involved in Minnesota United Methodist campus ministries experience college through the lens of faith and explore their vocation through worship, study, service, and justice.

Campus ministers and chaplains provide an extension of the local church on the college campus, thus bringing United Methodist values to a college setting, and especially to students participating in campus ministry and chaplaincy programs.

The campus ministries in Minnesota are:

University of Minnesota Twin Cities: The Wesley Foundation
1219 University Ave. SE
Minneapolis, MN 55414

This United Methodist-related campus ministry, dedicated to welcoming all persons, is a community of faith that seeks to practice justice and cross-faith traditions and to create a world of tolerance and compassion for all persons. The Wesley Foundation at the University of Minnesota provides direction of spiritual formation and community for college students on the U of M campus through worship, Bible and book study, and retreat.
