All congregations, groups and families have healthy and not-so-healthy norms. Norms are the silent, unspoken patterns of behavior which powerfully impact congregational health, vitality and functioning. Most of the time these norms exist just beneath our level of awareness but guide our behavior for good or ill and can keep a congregation stuck and unable to fully live into God’s call for that faith community. In this workshop you will learn how to identify these norms, how to safely uncover them in the congregation and how to use all of this organic material to develop greater accountability to our call as the Body of Christ.
Led by Superintendent for Congregational Vitality Susan Nienaber. This program is in two parts: Friday eve – 6:30-8 pm; Saturday morn – 9-10:30 am, January 21 and 22. Connection details and materials will be sent just prior to the sessions.
